Prominent Ahwazi leader Mithaq Abdullah , leader of the Renaissance Pioneers Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz , said that Tehran’s continued execution of prisoners in its prisons in the middle of this month is an illegal act that violates international norms and laws, and can be defined as “crimes against humanity.” He called on the Persian occupation state, Iran, to recognize the Ahwazi prisoners as prisoners of war, in order to achieve the right to self-determination.
In exclusive statements to Masr Al-Arabiya, Abdullah added that Tehran’s insistence on continuing to carry out death sentences against Ahwazi prisoners and practicing all kinds of torture against them justifies our Ahwazi resistance’s reciprocal response, stressing that from now on, no Iranian target will be immune from the guns of their heroic battalions .

The leader of the Pioneers of the Renaissance Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz threatened Iran, saying, “The Persian occupation must be absolutely certain that these crimes will not go unpunished, and it must await a painful response at the appropriate time and place from the Pioneers of the Renaissance Movement and its valiant battalions. He who warns is excused.”
The Ahwazi Pioneers Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz is one of the most prominent Ahwazi organizations opposing the Persian occupation and Iranian presence in Ahwaz. It adopts armed struggle as a means to liberate all Ahwazi lands from Iranian occupation.
In July 2020, Tehran designated the Ahvaz Movement for the Liberation of Ahvaz (HMNA) as a terrorist organization threatening Iranian national security. Tehran placed its leader, Mithaq Abdullah, who resides in the Australian capital, Canberra, on its most wanted list on charges of involvement in terrorism. The Iranian Foreign Ministry also demanded that Australian authorities extradite Mithaq Abdullah to the Iranian regime. However, Australian authorities refused to extradite him under any conditions. Tehran has so far been unable to locate its most wanted individual.
