The facts about Iran’s crimes against civilians are becoming more apparent day after day. A recent international report revealed Tehran’s deliberate targeting of the Ukrainian plane, while the victims’ families renewed their accusations that the mullahs were responsible for the tragic incident.

According to the Canadian network CBC, the Canadian government and intelligence agencies are examining a leaked audio recording, likely of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, in which he discusses the possibility of a deliberate targeting of the Ukrainian plane with Revolutionary Guard missiles. The Ukrainian plane was shot down by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard last year, with 176 passengers on board, over the capital, Tehran. The families of the victims accused Tehran of responsibility for the incident, and they continue to maintain that the downing of the plane was deliberate and not an accident.

The organization of the families of the plane crash victims said in a statement yesterday (Wednesday) that the families were not surprised by this recording because they are certain that the Iranian regime deliberately shot down the plane. Meanwhile, Ralph Goodale, the special advisor to the Canadian Prime Minister, explained that the government, especially those concerned with following up on the file of Flight PS752, are aware of the recording. He revealed that the Canadian Forensic Examination and Evaluation Team obtained a copy of it last November, indicating that the audio file contains sensitive information and commenting publicly on its details could put some lives at risk. He stressed that the police, intelligence agencies, and the Communications Security Agency are working to evaluate the authenticity of the recording.

Leader of the Renaissance Pioneers Movement: The occupation is practicing a systematic displacement of Ahwaz.

The mullahs’ crimes continue domestically. Mithaq Abdullah, leader of the Ahwaz Pioneers Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz, confirmed that the brutal repression perpetrated by Iranian forces against the defenseless Ahwazi people is escalating day after day.

He told Al-Bilad: “Iran, which occupies the Ahwaz region, has deprived its citizens of all rights and freedoms. The right to demonstrate is lost, freedom of expression is violated and completely confiscated, and anyone who thinks of confronting the mullahs’ regime is subjected to repression, abuse, arrest and torture, if not direct field execution, as the forces of the unjust regime did, by executing the activist Ali Al-Mutairi in Sheiban prison, and launched a campaign of random arrests that targeted dozens of Ahwazi citizens in the city of Tostar, north of Ahwaz. This has been the principle of Iranian treatment of the Ahwazis since Iran occupied the Arab land of Ahwaz on April 20, 1925.”

Abdullah pointed out that the “sponsors of terrorism” have become accustomed to terrorizing the Ahwazi people and other occupied peoples (Baluchi, Kurds, and Azerbaijanis), and have carried out the most heinous massacres and slaughters in Ahwaz, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, and their terrorist cells are spread throughout the region to destabilize the region.

He stressed that the Iranian occupation regime has been cutting off services to the Ahwazi people, who suffer from water scarcity, especially after Tehran cut off the river arteries in Ahwaz and built dams on the Karun River, transferring river water to Persian cities. The mullahs are using “thirst” as a weapon to displace the Ahwazis from their land and settle Persians there. He pointed out that the Iranian policy of comprehensive destruction has included the infrastructure in Ahwaz, including neglect, demolition and removal of homes, destruction of crops, deprivation of electricity and paved roads, and scarcity of education and health services; these are systematic policies of silent displacement.

Abdullah explained that Iran’s inclusion of his name on the most wanted list, accused of assassinating 17,000 Iranians, and the complaint filed by the Iranian Foreign Ministry with the Australian Embassy in Tehran, are a pretext for any criminal Iranian actions against him and the cadres of the Renaissance Pioneers Movement. He emphasized that the movement’s position has not and will not change regarding the Ahwazi people’s right to resist the Iranian occupation.
